Republican candidates for Congress will be in Gainesville to speak to voters on Thursday, January 9, at 7pm, at the next meeting of Cooke County Republican Women. 15 Republicans will be on the March 3 Primary Election ballot, and most of them plan to attend the forum. They are campaigning to win the open seat currently held by Congressman Mac Thornberry who is not seeking reelection. The forum is open to the public, and may be the only opportunity for many Cooke County voters to meet these candidates. The meeting will be held in the CLC addition at First Christian Church, 401 N. Dixon St.
